First Aid for Youth Mental Health Level 2 FAA Award

1 day. (Face to Face or Distance Learning)

The minimum classroom contact time of 6-hours can be spread over a maximum of 3-weeks, ensuring that each session is a minimum of 2-hours.

Everyone’s Mental Health appears to have been changed by the Pandemic. Old and young alike have suffered and are now anxious about the future. This new programme could help and is ideal for face-to-face delivery in groups from 4-16 people. The course can be delivered to anyone 14 years old or over. So this could include young people with some peer responsibility at school and college as well as all adults.

The FAA Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults.

The qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition, start a conversation, and provide support and guidance to professional help.
